Cold weather update

Ralph Wright, manager of the agro-meteorological applications and modelling section with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, analyzes the latest data regarding the lowest recorded temperatures to far in 2019.

Most of these are confined to the northern half of the province. The coldest temperatures recorded so far was -47.6 C at Kakwa Auto, located about 30 km north of Grande Cache. In total nine stations have now recorded temperatures of -45 C or lower.”
