AgriSync: Farmers’ Helpline App A Winner

From AgriSync News  www.agrisync.com

An Iowa based agriculture technology startup company, AgriSync, participated in the American Farm Bureau Federation Rural Entrepreneurship Challenge. They were one of four finalists chosen to attend the American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention in Orlando, Florida on January 9-11 earning $15,000 in startup funds. The teams that were chosen had an opportunity to win an additional $15,000 for Entrepreneur of the Year and $10,000 for the People’s Choice Award that included interactive voter participation.

AgriSync has created a downloadable application using smartphone technology that is a remote support tool to better connect farmers with their trusted advisors to communicate and work more efficiently. AgriSync allows all trusted advisors – agronomists, service technicians, and precision agricultural specialists for instance – to see what their farmer customer sees in a real-time video support session. Farmers can access all of their trusted advisors together in one place, regardless of the advisor’s product or service brand. AgriSync is a single point of access to all advisors when a visual-first support need arises.

Together Casey Niemann and Jerrod Westfahl, AgriSync co-founders and Kansas natives, have brought the idea of AgriSync to life and were able to share the concept in the Rural Entrepreneurship Challenge in Orlando.

Westfahl states, “Our participation in the challenge has brought exposure to our idea and addresses the needs of a new remote support platform. We are proud to be building public awareness of rural entrepreneurism and look forward to continuing to spread the word, share the mission of AgriSync, and generate positive and interested users to make business better between the farmer and advisor. We are learning that when something solves a problem, motivation to share the solution spreads quickly
