NORAC’s Active Wing Roll Now Available For John Deere R-Series Sprayers

NORAC Systems International Inc., a developer of control equipment for the agricultural industry, announced on Feb. 11 that it has released Active Wing Roll, a boom height control technology for sprayers. It is now available for John Deere R-Series sprayers.

Active Wing Roll acts similarly to NORAC’s Active Roll, which was originally introduced for extreme terrain. Unlike Active Roll, which requires a specific boom design, Active Wing Roll can be applied to a wide variety of sprayer center section designs, including pendulum and rigid booms.

“This patent pending technology is an exciting movement forward in the industry,” said Jason Griffith, vice president of technology at NORAC. “Controlling center section roll, or in this case simulating center section roll, is the future of automatic boom height control.”

John Deere self-propelled sprayers are designed to take on numerous types of terrain, covering more acreage in a shorter amount of time. The R-Series sprayers now have precision application and intuitive controls for the optimal operator experience.
