Your Options For Year-end Equipment Purchases

Your Options For Year-end Equipment Purchases

BY CASE IH

Looking to make some year-end purchases for your operation? Start by consulting your tax adviser or accountant to discuss how year-end equipment investments can benefit your bottom line. Next, check out offers from Case IH

Buy New

If new equipment is right for your budget this year, talk to your Case IH dealer about the full product line. Don’t forget to look for factory warranties, like the three-year, 2,000-hour factory warranty* included on all Model Year 2019 Magnum™ and Steiger® series tractors. And you can save big with the Case IH Year End Sales Event, featuring deals on equipment for hay and forage operations.

Buy Certified Pre-Owned

If pre-owned equipment is more your style, the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned** program can offer you peace of mind.

Check out our late-model Magnum and Steiger series tractors, Patriot® series sprayers and Axial-Flow® series combines. At the start of the Certified Pre-Owned process, qualifying equipment undergoes an initial test drive to ensure good operational condition. A fluid analysis of engine oil, coolant and hydraulic fluid determines the overall health of the tractor or sprayer prior to inspection. With a passing grade here, equipment is inspected and reconditioned to replace worn-out or defective parts. A final test drive ensures all repairs fully meet Case IH standards, and the equipment qualifies for the Case IH Certified Pre-Owned program. That means you can have confidence that your pre-owned equipment will perform when you need it to.

Buy Parts

If a new equipment purchase is not in your business plan, make sure to bring your current equipment in for inspections. Take advantage of what might be a slower time of year for the service department at the dealership. That way, you can make the right repairs to keep your equipment running smoothly. From there, work with Case IH Parts & Service experts to help you anticipate additional maintenance and repair needs for 2019 and stock up on parts and supplies, such as belts, batteries, tires, oil, lubricants and filters. You also can visit the Case IH Partstore, where you can upload and save information about your equipment in your MyShed™ account; search for parts by model or by serial number; and find so much more.

Act before January 1 to take advantage of the best offers from Case IH and be prepared for the 2019 season.

*Magnum and Steiger series tractor factory warranty available in the United States and Canada.

**Case IH Certified Pre-Owned program applies to late-model (no more than 5 years old) used (i) Axial-Flow combines with less than 1,500 engine hours, (ii) Steiger and Magnum tractors with less than 2,000 engine hours and (iii) Patriot Sprayers (3 years old or newer) with less than 1,500 engine hours. 12 MMT of U.S. soybean purchases by China by year-end is better than 0 but we all need to give it more time and give it a chance to unfold. China did lower the tariffs on Ag and is buying U.S. wheat and sorghum.

U.S. government shutdown is now the longest in history at 38 days.
But despite a U.S. government shutdown we will be getting a USDA November crop report next Friday and it could be “game changing.” If the USDA provides a bullish surprise with lower U.S. corn and soybean yields and ending stocks that are lower than expected both corn and soybean futures will break out above their ceilings at $4.35/bu and $11.35/bu respectively.
The funds continued their selling in live and feeder cattle futures on continued fears that the Trump administration want to lower U.S. beef prices. The fundamentals have not changed, only market psychology has.

After 34 new record highs in the S & P 500 and 124 new records in the NASDAQ in 2025 we are back to a correction and investor profit taking as AI valuations may have gotten too stretched near-term ahead of NVDA’s 3rd quarter earnings announcement on Nov. 19th. But this is not an AI bubble.
