Grain Farmers of Ontario has opened its annual call for research letters of intent (LOI).
Investment in research that targets opportunities that enhances farmer-member profitability and sector competitiveness is a long-term strategic initiative of Grain Farmers of Ontario.
“Ontario grain farmers are constantly adapting to new challenges and opportunities, and research plays an important role in supporting that progress,” says Paul Hoekstra, vice president, strategic development, Grain Farmers of Ontario.
“Each year, Grain Farmers of Ontario works with farmer-members, researchers, and industry partners to identify key priority areas and invest in projects that can deliver meaningful value to the sector. Through this process, we are supporting innovation that helps strengthen the competitiveness, sustainability, and long-term success of Ontario grain farming.”
Researchers are invited to review Grain Farmers of Ontario’s updated 2026 research priorities and submit an LOI addressing those priorities by Friday, July 17, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
