Grain Farmers of Ontario Welcomes New Senior Agronomist

GUELPH, ON  – Grain Farmers of Ontario, the province‘s largest commodity organization, representing Ontario‘s 28,000 barley, corn, oat, soybean, and wheat farmers, today welcomes Marty Vermey in the role of Senior Agronomist.
 
Vermey joins Grain Farmers of Ontario with extensive experience in agronomy, research, product development, marketing and management roles with seed and crop protection businesses in the Canadian market place.
 
Vermey brings hands-on experience as a farmer and deep knowledge of production agriculture and farming challenges to the role.
 
“We are pleased that Marty is joining us in this new role,” said Crosby Devitt, VP, Grain Farmers of Ontario. “Marty will work to ensure Ontario farmers have production tools and resources available to continue to be global leaders in grain production. Our farmer-members look to us to provide high-level production information and to ensure that grain farmers voices are heard within the industry and with government.”
