HyLife Acquires ProVista's Hog Operations

La Broquerie-based HyLife has announced the purchase of ProVista’s hog farming operations.

ProVista currently ranks as one of Canada’s largest independent hog farming operations with most of its production located in Manitoba. The acquisition consists of 37,000 sows and nursery/finishing barns supported by 252 employees with a production capacity of approximately one million hogs annually.

“We have a long working relationship with ProVista and look forward to building on all the hard work that they have done,” said Grant Lazaruk, HyLife’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “This acquisition enables HyLife to expand our production team and secure hog supply to facilitate future growth.”

ProVista’s farms are located in close proximity to HyLife’s current operations.
