Implementation of the "4R Nutrient Stewardship Program" remains a priority

The Manitoba government, Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP), and Fertilizer Canada have officially signed a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) focusing on 4R Nutrient Stewardship

The 4R Nutrient Stewardship was developed by Fertilizer Canada and focuses on applying the "Right Source at the Right Rate, at the Right Time, and in the Right Place.

Agriculture Minister Derek Johnson says initiatives that balance crop production with environmental protection measures are critical to ensuring Manitoba’s agricultural sector is well-equipped to meet the needs of future generations.

"This MOU supports and strengthens our government’s objectives in food security and affordability, in addition to environmental performance, with the nutrient stewardship programming developed by Canada’s fertilizer industry."
