More than 375 employees return to Quad Cities factories
John Deere is expanding its workforce in Illinois by bringing back more than 375 employees to its Quad Cities manufacturing facilities. The company announced that approximately 150 workers will return to Seeding and Cylinder Operations in Moline, while about 225 employees will return to Harvester Works in East Moline. These additions will help Deere prepare for future planting and harvest seasons while supporting long-term business plans.
Since January, John Deere has either hired or recalled more than 800 employees across Iowa and Illinois. The company says these workforce investments are designed to improve production readiness and ensure equipment remains available to farmers and contractors across North America.
According to John Deere, the additional workers will help build dealer inventory ahead of upcoming agricultural cycles. Having sufficient inventory available is important for growers who rely on timely access to machinery during critical periods such as planting and harvesting.
