Largest Agricultural Drainage Project In Saskatchewan’s History Approved

The Water Security Agency has approved the largest agricultural drainage project in the Saskatchewan’s history in the southeast corner of the province.

Single approval was issued to 73 landowners for more than 18,000 acres of organized and managed drainage.

The Dry Lake Project will be located within the Gooseberry Lake Watershed.

While large scale organized drainage projects have happened before, this project is unique as it includes all existing drainage works in the area and some future drainage works.
