Larry McIntosh: Recipient of the 2021 Canadian Produce Person of the Year Award

Ottawa, ON – Larry McIntosh, former President and CEO of the Peak of the Market, was today presented with the 2021 Canadian Produce Person of the Year Award for his outstanding contributions to the produce industry.

Larry McIntosh is renowned for his exemplary leadership, dedication to advancing the produce industry, and passion for promoting fresh fruit and vegetable consumption. Until his retirement in June 2021, Larry was the President and CEO of the Peak of the Market for 27 years.

He has served on boards of several organizations including the Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA), Food and Beverage Manitoba, the Winnipeg and Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, the Canadian Food Policy Advisory Council, and more.

Besides the 2021 Canadian Produce Person of the Year Award, Larry has been recognized with several awards including the Golden Carrot Award, the Agri-Marketer of the Year Award, the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond and Golden Jubilee Medals, and the Canadian Red Cross Humanitarian of the Year Award.
