Lentils Are Saskatchewan’s Top-Crop

A relatively new crop has taken over the top spot for value in grain exports from Saskatchewan.
 
Statistics from the provincial government show sales of lentils reached 2.5-billion dollars last year, surpassing canola and wheat.
 
Carl Potts is the executive director of Saskatchewan Pulse Growers, which represent lentil producers.
 
He says the crop has seen significant growth in recent years.
