Massey Ferguson MF 7719 S awarded Machine of the Year at SIMA 2019

Francesco Quaranta Vice President Sales, Marketing & Product Management Massey Ferguson EME, says he is thrilled Massey Ferguson has received this important award. “This accolade recognises our commitment to developing modern, cost-effective and easy-to-use tractors and technology that deliver tangible benefits for our customers.

I am extremely proud of the whole team at Beauvais, from Engineering and purchasing departments but also through manufacturing, marketing services and customer support. As a team, they all have contributed to this superb success,” he says.

The new MF 7719 S, which comes in at the top of the medium frame MF 7700 S Series, epitomises this straightforward design approach, meeting strict new Stage V emission regulations with a transparent after-treatment system. Designed for the entire regular life of the tractor, it doesn’t require any other changes to the tractor.

“All manufacturers have to comply with these regulations,” explains Mr Quaranta. “What makes the difference is how they achieve this. At Massey Ferguson we chose to develop a system that doesn’t compromise the operation in any way, maintaining our excellent fuel consumption and unrivalled visibility.”

With its excellent power-to-weight ratio and impressive 14t gross vehicle weight, the versatile MF 7719 S is specifically designed to meet the exacting demands of today’s progressive farmers and contractors.

The MF 7719 S bristles with performance-enhancing new features such as Datatronic 5, touch-screen terminal. This not only controls the tractor and provides MF Auto Guide, automatic steering, but it can build into a comprehensive precision farming package.

Spring weed control in winter wheat with Broadway® Star (pyroxsulam + florasulam)

Video: Spring weed control in winter wheat with Broadway® Star (pyroxsulam + florasulam)

#CortevaTalks brings you a short update with Cereal Herbicides Category Manager, Alister McRobbie, on how to get the most out of Broadway® Star.

Significant populations of grassweeds, including ryegrass and brome, can threaten winter wheat yields. Spring applications of a contact graminicide, such as Broadway Star from Corteva Agriscience, can clear problem weeds, allowing crops to grow away in the spring.

Broadway Star (pyroxsulam + florasulam) controls ryegrass, sterile brome, wild oats and a range of broad-leaved weeds such as cleavers. It can be applied to winter wheat up until GS32, but the earlier the application is made, the smaller the weed, and the greater the benefit to the crop. Weeds should be actively growing. A good rule of thumb is that if your grass needs cutting, conditions are right to apply Broadway Star.
