Nipawin Canola Plant Closed For A Month Due To Fire

Bunge hopes to have its Nipawin canola oil crushing plant back in full operation in about a month.

This following a fire last Tuesday that damaged processing equipment inside one building where the fire occurred.

A Bunge North America spokesperson in St. Louis says the company has also resumed taking canola deliveries from area farmers.

The Nipawin crush plant and refinery is an important delivery location for farmers and a significant employer in the area.

It also plays a key role at harvest with growers as an off-the-combine delivery option.
