Shell Eggs Broken Down 1 Percent From Last Year

Shell eggs broken totaled 160 million dozen during February 2014, down 1 percent from February a year ago, and 9 percent below the 176 million broken last month

Du ring calendar year 2014 through February, shell eggs broken totaled 336 million dozen, up slightly from the comparable period in 2013. To date, cumulative total edible product from eggs broken in 2014 was 437 million pounds, up 2 percent from 2013
