Sights, Sounds & Takeaways from FIRA USA 2022

FIRA USA 2022, the California agricultural robotics and technology forum, took over downtown Fresno this week. Industry leaders from all over the globe shared their vision for the future of autonomous farming, and over 45 exhibitors packed the Fresno Convention Center to showcase their newest robots. Video: NEW Case IH x MacDon FD2 Plus Draper Header Complete Overview

Case IH introduces the new MacDon FD2 Plus Draper Header—a next-generation platform engineered for productivity, precision, and performance across varying field conditions.

The FD2 Plus Series is available in multiple widths—30 ft, 35 ft, 40 ft, 45 ft, 50 ft, and 61 ft—ensuring a perfect match for every Case IH combine, says Ryan Lepp, harvest product marketing manager.

It's designed to handle today’s high-yielding crops, delivering a smoother feeding, cleaner cuts, and superior ground following.

Key features:
>> A 50-inch Draper belt increases crop flow into the feeder house for steady, efficient harvesting.
>> The flexible cutter bar, essential for soybeans and uneven terrain, hugs the ground to capture low pods and reduce grain loss.
>> The optimized reel positioning keeps the reel close to the cutter bar for cleaner feeding and reduced shatter.
>> The FD2 Plus header pairs seamlessly with Case IH AF9, AF10, AF11, and 260 Series combines.
