The Canadian Barley Research Coalition Officially Launched

The Canadian Barley Research Coalition includes SaskBarley, Alberta Barley and Manitoba Wheat and Barley Growers Association.
The CBRC was officially launched Monday at the Saskatchewan Barley Development Commission's AGM in Saskatoon.
SaskBarley Chair Jason Skotheim says with the sunset of the WGRF’s Western Canadian Deduction it just makes sense to negotiate one agreement versus one for each organization and province.
“We were working on the Barley Roundtable, and these other components that would actually, in terms of coordination, process, research, this was just a natural progression along that line," he said. "Because we are aligned with our partners in Manitoba and Alberta, it just made sense to actually proceed with this."
