Ottawa – In light of COVID-19, the Canadian Federation of Agriculture has chosen to reschedule our reception scheduled for March 31st.
The CFA has decided to take pro-active measures in regard to non-essential travel, with the focus on helping slow down the transmission of the virus and ultimately reduce the load on the Canada’s health-care system and economy as a whole.
With the same goals and considerations, we have chosen to delay the CFA Lobby Day, originally scheduled to be held March 31st, until October 2020. This Lobby Day is an important event where farm leaders meet with a wide-range of MPs and Senators to outline the priorities and needs of Canadian agriculture. We thank all those MPs and Senators for recognizing the importance of Canadian agriculture and for consistently meeting and collaborating with CFA, Canada’s largest farm organization representing 200,000 farm families. We look forward to resuming this valuable face to face format as soon as possible.
CFA will continue moving forward in bringing Canadian agriculture’s priorities and objectives to the Federal government throughout the year. During this precautionary period, the entire CFA organization will limit face to face meetings as deemed necessary, holding meetings, as per our usual schedule, via electronic meeting methods when necessary. Internally, it will be business as usual for CFA.
