USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:  Net sales of 838,500 metric tons--a marketing-year high--for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016 were up 20 percent from the previous week and 82 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for unknown destinations (394,600 MT), the Dominican Republic (81,000 MT), Japan (71,000 MT, including 68,300 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Philippines (61,000 MT, including 10,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Yemen (47,300 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from Nigeria).  Decreases were reported for the French West Indies (8,000 MT) and Nigeria (2,200 MT).  Net sales of 2,300 MT for 2016/2017 were reported for Italy.  Exports of 314,500 MT were down 14 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior-4 week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (70,100 MT), Mexico (51,600 MT), Guatemala (48,300 MT), Yemen (47,300 MT), Italy (30,400 MT), Colombia (15,200 MT), and Venezuela (15,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 100 MT to Italy were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 33,200 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales reductions of 2,700 MT--a marketing-year low--for delivery in 2014/2015 were down noticeably from previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (129,300 MT), South Korea (72,700 MT, including 63,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 3,600 MT), Venezuela (58,000 MT), Japan (48,000 MT, including 73,700 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 59,400 MT), and Panama (15,100 MT, including 14,400 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (228,200 MT) and Taiwan (126,700 MT).  Net sales of 277,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (131,300 MT), Mexico (105,300 MT), and Colombia (30,500 MT).  Exports of 1,005,000 MT were down 6 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (319,100 MT), Mexico (312,700 MT), South Korea (119,600 MT), Colombia (76,000 MT), Costa Rica (44,700 MT), and Guatemala (27,700 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 52,500 MT, all Egypt.

Barley: Net sales of 15,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Morocco.  There were no exports reported during the week.  

Sorghum: Net sales of 56,800 MT for 2014/2015 resulted as increases for China (110,800 MT, including 54,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 7,100 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (54,000 MT).  Net sales of 223,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for China (169,000 MT) and unknown destinations (54,000 MT).  Exports of 283,300 MT were up 73 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.

Rice:  Net sales of 19,800 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 38 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Libya (20,600 MT), Canada (1,500 MT), South Korea (500 MT), New Guinea (400 MT), and El Salvador (400 MT).  Decreases were reported for Mexico (4,400 MT) and Jordan (400 MT).  Net sales of 81,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Panama (45,400 MT), Haiti (20,000 MT), Mexico (10,100 MT), Costa Rica (4,500 MT), and El Salvador (1,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for Canada (100 MT).  Exports of 77,700 MT were down 27 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (30,100 MT), Libya (20,600 MT), South Korea (10,700 MT), El Salvador (6,000 MT), and Canada (3,100 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 100 MT were reported to Canada.  The current exports for own account balance is 300 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales reductions of 447,300 MT--a marketing-year low--for 2014/2015 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (59,800 MT, including 43,300 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 5,000 MT), Nigeria (15,000 MT), Colombia (8,100 MT, including 6,000 MT switched from Panama and decreases of 300 MT), and Taiwan (7,100 MT).  Decreases were reported for China (500,000 MT, including 300,000 MT switched to 2015/2016), unknown destinations (43,300 MT), and Panama (6,000 MT).  Net sales of 1,024,200 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (489,500 MT), China (426,000 MT), Taiwan (79,300 MT), and Mexico (20,700 MT).  Exports of 210,700 MT were up 64 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (80,400 MT), Mexico (65,100 MT), Colombia (23,300 MT),Costa Rica (13,300 MT), and Indonesia (12,300 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 475,000 MT, all China.  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 385,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 41,600 MT for 2014/2015 were down 42 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (11,400 MT), Panama (9,400 MT, including 8,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), Canada (5,800 MT), the Philippines (4,500 MT), Japan (4,400 MT, including 3,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Sri Lanka (1,700 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (2,400 MT) and New Guinea (100 MT).  Net sales of 18,300 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for the Dominican Republic (6,000 MT), Trinidad (3,000 MT), and unknown destinations (2,800 MT).  Exports of 106,800 MT were down 45 percent from the previous week and 42 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (29,100 MT), Colombia (15,200 MT), Guatemala (13,400 MT), Canada (11,400 MT), the Dominican Republic (8,700 MT), and Panama (8,400 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 4,200 MT for 2014/2015 were down 94 percent from the previous week and 83 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (2,600 MT), El Salvador (1,200 MT), and Canada (200 MT).   Net sales of 6,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Mexico.   Exports of 2,600 MT were down 55 percent from the previous week and 61 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (2,300 MT) and Canada (200 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales reductions of 14,200 RB for 2014/2015 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Indonesia (2,500 RB, including 700 RB switched from Japan and decreases of 900 RB), El Salvador (800 RB), Mexico (400 RB), and the Philippines (400 RB, switched from Indonesia).  Decreases were reported primarily for Turkey (10,300 RB), Pakistan (4,500 RB), and Hong Kong (1,600 RB).  Net sales of 123,900 RB for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Turkey (46,200 RB), Honduras (15,600 RB), and Mexico (13,100 RB).  Decreases were reported for Nicaragua (200 RB).  Exports of 186,600 RB were up 11 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Vietnam (49,000 RB), Turkey (30,000 RB), South Korea (18,200 RB), Mexico (17,900 RB), and China (16,000 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 100 RB for 2014/2015 were down 95 percent from the previous week and 98 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Switzerland (200 RB), were partially offset by decreases for China (100 RB).  Net sales of 4,200 RB for 2015/2016 were reported for China (2,200 RB), India (1,500 RB), Turkey (300 RB), and Japan (200 RB).  Exports of 9,800 RB were down 33 percent from the previous week and 6 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (6,400 RB), India (1,000 RB), Germany (600 RB), and Switzerland (600 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 9,200 RB to Vietnam were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 49,900 RB, and are for China (48,500 RB) and Vietnam (1,400 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 751,500 pieces--a marketing-year high--for 2015, all whole cattle hides, were up 20 percent from the previous week and 43 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were primarily for China (555,600 pieces), South Korea (108,600 pieces), Mexico (36,100 pieces), and Italy (16,300 pieces).  Exports of 411,100 pieces, all whole cattle hides, were up 13 percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (240,600 pieces), South Korea (76,900 pieces), Mexico (32,900 pieces), Thailand (20,300 pieces), and Taiwan (17,900 pieces).

Net sales of 407,000 wet blues for 2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (164,900 grain splits and 48,300 unsplit), Vietnam (69,200 unsplit), Mexico (42,600 grain splits and 20,800 unplit), and Italy (29,500 unsplit and 3,700 grain splits).  Decreases were reported for Japan (700 grain splits).  Exports of 130,100 wet blues were up 24 percent from the previous week and 29 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Italy (48,100 unsplit and 6,900 grain splits), China (21,500 unsplit and 13,800 grain splits), Mexico (14,600 grain splits and 1,000 unsplit), and Vietnam (8,600 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 297,400 pounds for 2015 resulted as increases for South Korea (299,700 pounds), were partially offset by decreases for Taiwan (2,300 pounds).  For 2016, net sales of 34,300 pounds were for South Korea (25,200 pounds) and Italy (16,600 pounds).  Decreases were reported for China (7,600 pounds).  Exports of 988,700 pounds were up noticeably from the previous week and up 28 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were South Korea (938,700 pounds) and Hong Kong (50,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 5,900 MT for 2015 were down 6 percent from the previous week and 49 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (2,100 MT), Canada (1,100 MT), Mexico (800 MT), South Korea (800 MT), and Hong Kong (600 MT).  Exports of 10,500 MT were down 11 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,500 MT), South Korea (2,300 MT), Mexico (1,400 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), and Hong Kong (800 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 14,200 MT for 2015 were down 36 percent from the previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (8,200 MT), Japan (1,300 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), Colombia (900 MT), and South Korea (700 MT).  Exports of 16,800 MT were down 27 percent from the previous week and 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (6,800 MT), Japan (3,800 MT), Canada (1,600 MT), South Korea (700 MT), and Colombia (600 MT).
