USDA Export Sales Report Release

Wheat:   Net sales reductions of 52,400 metric tons for delivery during the 2013/2014 marketing year resulted as increases for Yemen (47,300 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), South Africa (8,200 MT, including 8,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Nigeria (4,400 MT), Italy (1,700 MT), Nicaragua (1,700 MT), and South Korea (1,500 MT), were more than offset by decreases for Taiwan (51,900 MT), unknown destinations (45,000 MT), Israel (13,200 MT), Brazil (5,800 MT), and Mexico (4,500 MT).  Net sales of 531,500 MT for 2014/2015 were primarily for Brazil (160,500 MT), South Korea (86,100 MT), Japan (84,000 MT), and Taiwan (54,900 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (54,900 MT) and Nicaragua (1,500 MT).  Exports of 529,100 MT were up 4 percent from the previous week, but down 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (98,400 MT), China (66,500 MT), Indonesia (60,800 MT), Brazil (60,700 MT), Yemen (47,300 MT), Mexico (41,200 MT), and Nigeria (36,200 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, Outstanding optional origin sales total 28,000 MT, and are for Algeria (19,000 MT) and Italy (9,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 17,100 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 621,300 MT for 2013/2014 were up 22 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (249,600 MT), Egypt (200,700 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Israel (93,100 MT, including 89,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Colombia (83,400 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Portugal (59,600 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from Spain), and South Korea (59,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (155,900 MT), China (115,000 MT), Spain (55,000 MT), and Costa Rica (1,400 MT).  Net sales of 90,900 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Mexico (89,600 MT) and Japan (1,400 MT).  Exports of 1,210,200 MT were up 4 percent from the previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (277,300 MT), Egypt (208,700 MT), Japan (205,300 MT), Colombia (142,600 MT), South Korea (67,800 MT), Vietnam (65,000 MT), and Portugal (59,600 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 123,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley: Net sales of 100 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for South Korea.  Net sales of 1,500 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Taiwan.  Exports of 500 MT were reported to South Korea (300 MT) and Taiwan (200 MT).

Sorghum: Net sales of 110,500 MT resulted as increases for China (170,300 MT, including 58,300 MT switched from unknown destinations) and Canada (300 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (60,000 MT).  Net sales of 60,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for China.  Exports of 58,400 MT were reported to China.

Rice: Net sales of 12,200 MT for 2013/2014 were down 81 percent from the previous and 60 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (5,400 MT), Saudi Arabia (3,300 MT), Canada (2,700 MT), Honduras (300 MT), and Singapore (100 MT).  Decreases were reported for Guatemala (500 MT).  Net sales of 1,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Canada.  Exports of 14,300 MT were down 84 percent from the previous week 79 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Guatemala (5,900 MT), Mexico (2,700 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), Jordan (1,000 MT), and Saudi Arabia (800 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 60,300 MT for 2013/2014 were down 63 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Taiwan (21,700 MT), Japan (19,100 MT, including 18,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,000 MT), Indonesia (15,900 MT), Mexico (13,700 MT), Vietnam (8,700 MT), and Canada (2,600 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (22,500 MT).  Net sales of 821,100 MT for 2014/2015 were primarily for unknown destinations (388,000 MT), China (358,000 MT), and Mexico (40,000 MT).  Exports of 119,300 MT were down 42 percent from the previous week and 46 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (35,800 MT), Indonesia (25,500 MT), Japan (21,800 MT), Israel (18,500 MT), and Taiwan (9,500 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 110,500 MT, all China.  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 661,000 MT, and are for China (496,000 MT), Egypt (120,000 MT), and Mexico (45,000 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 83,700 MT for 2013/2014 were down 55 percent from the previous week and 31 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (38,800 MT), Venezuela (25,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (7,400 MT), unknown destinations (6,900 MT), Colombia (3,400 MT), Jamaica (2,000 MT), and Bangladesh (1,600 MT).  Decreases were reported for Canada (2,200 MT), Ecuador (1,500 MT), and Guatemala (900 MT).  Net sales of 200 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Canada.  Exports of 120,500 MT were up 21 percent from the previous week, but down 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (41,500 MT), Ecuador (31,500 MT), Canada (19,100 MT), Honduras (11,500 MT), Bangladesh (2,900 MT), and Sri Lanka (2,400 MT).

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 15,000 MT for 2013/2014 were down 64 percent from the previous week, but up 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Guatemala (12,000 MT), Mexico (1,600 MT), Nicaragua (600 MT), and Jamaica (500 MT).  Exports of 4,600 MT were up 11 percent from the previous week, but down 48 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (3,000 MT), Canada (800 MT), Nicaragua (600 MT), and Australia (100 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales 61,000 RB for 2013/2014 were down 83 percent from the previous week and 50 percent the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (23,300 RB, including 400 RB switched from South Korea), Mexico (9,100 RB), Turkey (6,800 RB), Taiwan (5,400 RB), Indonesia (4,800 RB), and Thailand (3,900 RB, including 300 RB switched from Japan).  Decreases were reported for El Salvador (2,000 RB).  Net sales of 114,300 RB for 2014/2015 were reported for Turkey (55,900 RB), Mexico (24,200 RB), and Vietnam (19,800 RB).   Exports of 216,600 RB were up 14 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (63,000 RB), Turkey (43,300 RB), Vietnam (41,000 RB), Mexico (15,700 RB)and Thailand (12,100 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 4,400 RB for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Thailand (3,100 RB), Pakistan (900 RB), and Japan (400 RB).   Net sales of 1,800 RB for 2014/2015 were reported for Germany (900 RB) and Egypt (900 RB). Exports of 11,600 RB were primarily to China (6,300 RB), India (2,600 RB), Indonesia (1,500 RB), and Thailand (400 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,900 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), unknown destinations (700 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account:   Exports for own account were reported to China (1,100 RB).  The current exports for own account balance is 62,900 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 474,900 pieces reported for 2014 were up 9 percent from the previous week and 19 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hides sales of 473,300 pieces were primarily for China (307,400 pieces, including 5,100 pieces switched from South Korea and decreases of 2,200 pieces), South Korea (95,800 pieces), Taiwan (20,800 pieces), Thailand (16,900 pieces), and Hong Kong (11,600 pieces).  Exports of 436,900 pieces were up 14 percent from the previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hides exports totaled 424,000 pieces, with the primary destinations being China (283,700 pieces), South Korea (59,600 pieces), Taiwan (32,600 pieces), Mexico (21,100 pieces), and Thailand (18,100 pieces).

Net sales of 158,300 wet blues for 2014 were reported for Italy (58,800 unsplit and 36,100 grain splits), China (19,300 unsplit and 1,800 grain splits), Uruguay (12,000 unsplit), and Thailand (11,000 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for Vietnam (300 grain splits).  Exports of 113,700 wet blues were primarily to Italy (24,700 unsplit and 9,700 grain splits), China (29,600 unsplit and 4,000 grain splits), Mexico (10,300 grain splits and 4,100 unsplit), South Korea (9,600 unsplit and 3,700 grain splits), and the Dominican Republic (4,000 unsplit and 2,300 grain splits).  Net sales of splits totaling 10,800 pounds for 2014 were for South Korea.  Exports of 375,900 pounds were reported to South Korea.

Beef:  Net sales of 12,700 MT for 2014 were up 5 percent from the previous week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (3,900 MT), South Korea (3,000 MT), Hong Kong (2,200 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), and Japan (900 MT).  Exports of 16,400 MT--a marketing-year high--were up 17 percent from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (5,700 MT), Hong Kong (2,800 MT), South Korea (2,300 MT), Mexico (2,100 MT), and Canada (1,600 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 9,100 MT for 2014 were down 22 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (4,600 MT), Canada (900 MT), Japan (800 MT), South Korea (800 MT), and Colombia (500 MT).  Exports of 10,100 MT were down 3 percent from the previous and unchanged from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (3,600 MT), Japan (1,600 MT), South Korea (1,500 MT), Canada (1,000 MT), and Australia (700 MT).
