USDA Export Sales Report Release

Wheat:   Net sales of 359,400 MT for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were primarily for South Korea (80,500 MT), Brazil (64,300 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Philippines (49,000 MT), Chile (44,200 MT), Jamaica (36,000 MT), and Japan (29,100 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (81,600 MT), Vietnam (5,900 MT), Burma (500 MT), and Costa Rica (300 MT).  Net sales of 100 MT for delivery in the 2015/2016 marketing year were for Japan.  Exports of 587,000 MT were primarily to Japan (106,600 MT), Indonesia (97,000 MT), Brazil (92,800 MT), Guatemala (47,900 MT), Chile (44,200 MT), Mexico (30,900 MT), and Nigeria (27,200 MT). 

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 19,000 MT, all Algeria.

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 700 MT were reported to Italy.  Exports for own account to Italy totaling 1,500 MT were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 30,700 MT, all Italy.   

Corn:  Net sales of 321,400 MT for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 22 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (142,000 MT, including 77,800 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 12,500 MT), South Korea (127,100 MT), Vietnam (86,000 MT, including 90,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 4,000 MT), Spain (72,000 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Egypt (68,000 MT), and the Netherlands (60,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (327,700 MT), China (60,000 MT), and Israel (1,100 MT).  Net sales of 232,100 MT for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for Mexico (138,600 MT), unknown destinations (65,600 MT) and Costa Rica (27,400 MT).  Decreases were reported for the Philippines (200 MT).  Exports of 1,154,500 MT were up 3 percent from the previous week and 2 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (292,700 MT), Japan (224,600 MT), South Korea (135,500 MT), Israel (133,900 MT), Spain (132,000 MT), Vietnam (86,000 MT), and Costa Rica (60,800 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, options were exercised to export 68,000 MT to South Korea from the United States.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 55,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley:  Net sales reductions of 100 MT for 2014/1015 were reported for Japan.  Exports of 1,300 MT were reported to Japan.

Sorghum: Net sales of 10,600 MT for 2013/2014 resulted as increases for Japan (15,600 MT, including 9,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (4,000 MT) and China (1,000 MT).  Net sales of 50,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for China.  Exports of 69,900 MT were reported to China (60,400 MT) and Japan (9,500 MT).

Rice: Net sales of 13,300 MT for 2013/2014 were down 85 percent from the previous week and 68 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Colombia (6,500 MT), Canada (2,400 MT), Saudi Arabia (1,500 MT), Jordan (1,200 MT), and Guatemala (500 MT).  Decreases were reported for Costa Rica (200 MT) and the Republic of South Africa (100 MT).  Exports of 32,800 MT were down 20 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (13,000 MT), Haiti (8,800 MT), Canada (2,900 MT), Mexico (2,300 MT), and South Korea (2,100 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 317,200 MT for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for unknown destinations (197,600 MT), Mexico (56,100 MT), Thailand (38,000 MT), Taiwan (10,000 MT), and Vietnam (8,000 MT).  Net sales of 457,700 MT for 2014/2015 were for China (247,000 MT), unknown destinations (170,000 MT), Mexico (19,300 MT), Costa Rica (13,300 MT), and Taiwan (5,000 MT).  Exports of 98,200 MT were down 49 percent from the previous week and 42 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (52,900 MT), Japan (22,000 MT), Indonesia (11,100 MT), Taiwan (5,700 MT), and Canada (4,100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 110,500 MT, all China.  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 716,000 MT, and are for China (551,000 MT), Egypt (120,000 MT), and Mexico (45,000 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 66,300 MT for 2013/2014 were up 21 percent from the previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (16,100 MT, including 12,200 MT switched from unknown destinations), Venezuela (15,000 MT), Saudi Arabia (12,000 MT), Canada (11,900 MT), Guatemala (11,000 MT, including 9,600 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Panama (8,600 MT, switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (29,700 MT).  Net sales of 187,100 MT for 2014/2015 were primarily for the Philippines (123,000 MT) and Vietnam (40,000 MT).  Exports of 133,400 MT were down 11 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (26,400 MT), Venezuela (25,000 MT), Canada (21,200 MT), Japan (14,700 MT), and Guatemala (12,000 MT).  

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 1,900 MT for 2013/2014 were down 82 percent from the previous week and 93 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (1,100 MT), Nicaragua (500 MT), Canada (200 MT), and Trinidad (100 MT).  Exports of 15,700 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Guatemala (12,000 MT), Mexico (2,700 MT), Nicaragua (500 MT), and Canada (300 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales 3,600 RB for 2013/2014 were down 98 percent from the previous week and 96 percent the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Indonesia (6,300 RB), China (1,400 RB), Morocco (1,000 RB), Thailand (800 RB, including 400 RB switched from Japan), Turkey (500 RB), and Taiwan (300 RB).  Decreases were reported for Mexico (6,300 RB) and Japan (400 RB).  Net sales of 24,100 RB for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for Honduras (10,000 RB), India (4,000 RB), Costa Rica (3,300 RB), and Indonesia (3,100 RB).  Decreases were reported for Morocco (1,000 RB).  Exports of 126,400 RB were up 6 percent from the previous week, but down 26 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (42,100 RB), Mexico (19,900 RB), Turkey (13,600 RB), Indonesia (12,100 RB), and Taiwan (5,900 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 1,000 RB for 2013/2014 were down 52 percent from the previous week and 64 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Pakistan (300 RB), Italy (300 RB), Bangladesh (200 RB), and Turkey (100 RB).  Exports of 11,700 RB were primarily to China (8,500 RB), Thailand (1,000 RB), Indonesia (900 RB), and India (500 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 60,900 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 408,200 pieces reported for 2014 were up 34 percent from the previous week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hides sales of 407,900 pieces were primarily for China (317,200 pieces), South Korea (36,400 pieces), Indonesia (21,500 pieces), Mexico (11,800 pieces), and Japan (6,200 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (100 pieces).  Exports of 411,600 pieces were up 6 percent from the previous week, but down 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hides exports totaled 407,400 pieces, with the primary destinations being China (269,500 pieces), South Korea (61,400 pieces), Mexico (35,500 pieces), Taiwan (21,900 pieces), and Thailand (11,600 pieces).

Net sales of 62,000 wet blues for 2014 were reported for the Dominican Republic (33,600 unsplit and 2,300 grain splits), Vietnam (7,000 unsplit), Mexico (5,400 grain splits and 100 unsplit), South Korea (5,400 unsplit), and Spain (2,800 grain splits).  Decreases were reported for Vietnam (100 grain splits) and India (100 grain splits).  Exports of 128,900 wet blues were primarily to China (27,100 unsplit and 2,100 grain splits), Italy (25,300 unsplit and 2,100 grain splits), Thailand (24,000 unsplit), and Vietnam (14,300 unsplit and 2,500 grain splits).  Net sales of splits totaling 83,200 pounds for 2014 were reported for Hong Kong (50,000 pounds) and South Korea (33,200 pounds).  Exports of 415,400 pounds were reported to South Korea (265,400 pounds), Taiwan (100,000 pounds), and Hong Kong (50,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 17,100 MT for 2014 were up 6 percent from the previous week and 31 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Hong Kong (5,400 MT), South Korea (4,500 MT), Mexico (4,100 MT), Taiwan (1,200 MT), and Canada (1,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for Egypt (100 MT).  Exports of 15,500 MT were up 7 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (4,900 MT), South Korea (2,400 MT), Mexico (2,300 MT), Hong Kong (2,300 MT), and Canada (1,400 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 17,100 MT for 2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and 85 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (9,300 MT), Japan (2,800 MT), Canada (1,700 MT), Hong Kong (800 MT), and the Philippines (600 MT).  Exports of 9,900 MT were up 1 percent from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (4,000 MT), Japan (1,700 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), the Philippines (600 MT), and South Korea (500 MT).
