USDA Export Sales Report Release

Wheat:   Net sales of 567,500 MT for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were primarily for Brazil (140,500 MT), Taiwan (137,200 MT), Mexico (79,900 MT), Japan (48,900 MT), unknown destinations (41,300 MT), and Nigeria (31,300 MT).  Decreases were reported for Ecuador (3,500 MT).  Exports of 335,500 MT were primarily to the Philippines (76,900 MT), Japan (58,000 MT), Mexico (33,200 MT), Brazil (32,400 MT), South Korea (28,400 MT), Colombia (25,900 MT), Algeria (19,200 MT), and Honduras (15,100 MT). 

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2014/2015, new optional origin sales totaling 40,000 MT were reported for Algeria.  Options were exercised to export 19,000 MT to Algeria from the United States.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 40,000 MT, all Algeria.

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 100 MT were reported to Italy.  Exports for own account to Italy totaling 4,700 MT were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 26,100 MT, all Italy.   

Corn:  Net sales of 290,700 MT for 2013/2014 were up 14 percent from the previous week, but down 12 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (129,800 MT), Japan (90,600 MT, including 49,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 10,200 MT), the Netherlands (66,000 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), South Korea (62,800 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,300 MT), Saudi Arabia (62,100 MT, including 55,600 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Portugal (53,900 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from Spain and decreases of 1,100 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (182,500 MT), Spain (55,000 MT), Egypt (39,400 MT), and Venezuela (25,000 MT).  Net sales of 474,700 MT for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (224,800 MT), Japan (67,100 MT), Guatemala (59,600 MT), El Salvador (59,500 MT), and Mexico (59,000 MT).  Exports of 909,500 MT were down 16 percent from the previous week and 18 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were South Korea (193,000 MT), Egypt (156,600 MT), Mexico (135,100 MT), Japan (78,900 MT), the Netherlands (66,000 MT), Saudi Arabia (64,100 MT), and Colombia (62,000 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 55,000 MT, all South Korea.

Export Adjustments:  Accumulated exports to Spain were adjusted down 66,000 MT for week ending June 19, 2014.  This shipment was reported twice.  

Barley:  Net sales of 1,100 MT for 2014/1015 were reported for Taiwan (1,000 MT) and South Korea (100 MT).  Exports of 500 MT were reported to South Korea.

Sorghum: Net sales of 60,900 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for unknown destinations (58,000 MT) and China (2,900 MT).  Net sales of 58,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for unknown destinations.  Exports of 1,700 MT were reported to China.

Rice: Net sales of 26,700 MT for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 37 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Haiti (17,800 MT), Cote D’Ivoire (10,400 MT), Honduras (7,500 MT), Jordan (5,000 MT), and Mexico (2,700 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (21,600 MT), Nicaragua (400 MT), and the Dominican Republic (300 MT).  Exports of 50,100 MT were up 53 percent from the previous week, but down 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (26,800 MT), Japan (13,000 MT), South Korea (3,200 MT), Canada (3,000 MT), and Jordan (800 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 40,600 MT for 2013/2014 were down 87 percent from the previous week and 70 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Malaysia (13,500 MT, including 15,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,500 MT), Indonesia (9,100 MT), unknown destinations (9,000 MT), Taiwan (4,800 MT), and Japan (3,100 MT).  Decreases were reported for Mexico (1,500 MT).  Net sales of 431,200 MT for 2014/2015 were primarily for unknown destinations (206,000 MT), China (168,000 MT), and Mexico (45,000 MT).  Exports of 126,300 MT were up 29 percent from the previous week, but down 22 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (40,700 MT), Indonesia (39,000 MT), Malaysia (13,500 MT), Thailand (10,400 MT), and Taiwan (5,400 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 110,500 MT, all China.  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 716,000 MT, and are for China (551,000 MT), Egypt (120,000 MT), and Mexico (45,000 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 82,800 MT for 2013/2014 were up 25 percent from the previous week and 35 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (32,100 MT), Canada (14,400 MT), Guatemala (13,300 MT), the Dominican Republic (8,500 MT), Bangladesh (3,500 MT), and Japan (2,500 MT).  Net sales of 116,700 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for the Philippines (80,000 MT), Guatemala (36,300 MT), and Mexico (400 MT).  Exports of 73,500 MT were down 45 percent from the previous week and 51 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (26,000 MT), Canada (22,000 MT), Mexico (17,500 MT), Sri Lanka (2,700 MT), and Bangladesh (2,500 MT).  

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 19,400 MT for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Dominican Republic (8,400 MT), Guatemala (5,700 MT), and Mexico (5,100 MT).   Exports of 2,700 MT were down 83 percent from the previous week and 68 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (2,400 MT) and Canada (100 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales 34,900 RB for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 58 percent the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (33,300 RB, including 15,000 RB switched from Vietnam and decreases of 1,000 RB), Turkey (5,100 RB), Taiwan (3,900 RB), Hong Kong (3,100 RB), Egypt (2,200 RB), and Thailand (1,500 RB, including 1,100 RB switched from Indonesia and decreases of 200 RB).  Decreases were reported for Vietnam (18,500 RB) and Indonesia (1,000 RB).  Net sales of 59,700 RB for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for Indonesia (25,600 RB), Mexico (9,800 RB), Peru (6,500 RB), and Turkey (5,500 RB).  Decreases were reported for Vietnam (500 RB) and Morocco (100 RB).  Exports of 170,600 RB were up 35 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Turkey (33,800 RB), China (27,400 RB), Mexico (24,500 RB), Bangladesh (12,300 RB), and Thailand (11,900 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 6,600 RB for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (5,100 RB), Bangladesh (1,000 RB), Pakistan (400 RB), and Thailand (100 RB).  Net sales of 100 RB for 2014/2015 were reported for Indonesia.  Exports of 4,500 RB were primarily to India (1,600 RB), Indonesia (1,500 RB), Egypt (700 RB), and Italy (300 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 60,900 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 408,000 pieces, all whole cattle hides, were reported for delivery in 2014, unchanged from the previous week, but up 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (298,600 pieces), South Korea (57,800 pieces), Mexico (20,700 pieces), Taiwan (17,800 pieces), and Turkey (4,500 pieces).  Exports of 476,900 pieces were up 16 percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hides exports of 474,100 pieces were primarily to China (322,300 pieces), South Korea (80,800 pieces), Taiwan (24,900 pieces), Mexico (21,800 pieces), and Thailand (8,800 pieces).    

Net sales of 245,700 wet blues for 2014 were reported for Italy (93,200 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (48,500 unsplit and 2,300 grain splits), China (39,600 unsplit and 7,600 grain splits), Vietnam (19,300 unsplit), and Japan (16,800 grain splits).  Decreases were reported for Vietnam (100 grain splits), Japan (100 unsplit), and South Korea (100 unsplit).  Exports of 144,200 wet blues were primarily to Italy (40,100 unsplit and 3,700 grain splits), China (21,600 unsplit and 11,300 grain splits), Vietnam (16,300 unsplit), and Mexico (10,100 grain splits and 5,300 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 2,600 pounds for 2014 were reported for South Korea.  Exports of 304,900 pounds were reported to South Korea.

Beef:  Net sales of 5,700 MT for 2014--a marketing-year low--were down 67 percent from the previous week and 60 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (1,600 MT), Chile (900 MT), Taiwan (900), Canada (800 MT), and Hong Kong (600 MT).  Exports of 14,100 MT were down 9 percent from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (4,500 MT), South Korea (2,300 MT), Hong Kong (2,200 MT), Mexico (1,900 MT), and Canada (1,600 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 12,300 MT for 2014 were down 28 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (5,500 MT), Hong Kong (2,900 MT), Japan (1,000 MT), Canada (1,000 MT), and South Korea (900 MT).  Exports of 8,500 MT were down 14 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (3,400 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), Japan (1,200 MT), Hong Kong (500 MT), and China (400 MT).
