USMEF President and CEO Dan Halstrom joins Lane Nordlund of Western Ag Network to discuss the record-shattering pace of U.S. beef exports. May exports set new volume and value records, topping 135,000 metric tons valued at $1.09 billion. Exports are on a $1 billon per month pace in 2022, reaching $5.14 billion through May.
Nordlund also notes that U.S. lamb exports are trending higher this year, driven by growth in the Caribbean and Mexico.
