Prairie Organics: Think Whole Farm 2022 Recorded Session - Laura Telford and Stuart McMillan uncover unpublished data to better help you understand five key organic grains grown in the Canadian Prairie, including flax, hemp, spring wheat, oats and peas. How much is grown here? Where do the grains go after harvest? How much organic grain is coming into the country? And what final products are driving expansion? Laura has been the provincial organic specialist for the past ten years. In this role, she works with all of the players within the organic value chain to build a vibrant and profitable sector. Stuart McMillan is the farm manager of Legend Organic Farms. The farm has a shared ownership structure with Nature’s Path Foods and is committed to using innovative and regenerative methods to meet sustainability and production goals. His past involvement in the organic sector has included inspection, certification, consulting, analysis and research.
