Video: Sheep Farming: Producing Quality Lambs
At Ewetopia Farms, we combine two days of footage into one. There were lots of new lambs born into our flock during this time. As we see the lambs at birth and in the lambing jugs, then move on to the slightly older lambs in the Coveralls, we can see the fruits of our labor and it becomes more evident who are blossoming into the type of quality lambs we are striving for. Not everyone makes the cut, but already, there are some who are beginning to stand out. Alongside all the births, we have also had our share of mortalities the past few days due mainly to a listeriosis outbreak caused by moldy feed which took one of our favorite rams, Snappy, and also a few ewes. It is truly devastating when this happens! We also had a customer pick up one of our yearling rams to add to his flock.
