Video: The SWAT CAM Mission: Eliminate Manual Plant Stand Counts

Derek Rude, Vice President of R&D with Croptimistic Technology, recently spoke at the Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conference on eliminating manual plant stand counts.

Manual plant stand counts are a laborious, low resolution data collection activity filled with bias.

SWAT CAM's purpose is to automate this process, improve resolution, and remove bias. It is a crop establishment and weed pressure evaluation system that captures thousands of images of crop every 50-70 ft while mounted to sprayers.

This session was presented at the semi-annual Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conference.
