With 127 million acres of land used for agriculture, Texas is not only famous for its cattle herds or vast cotton fields. The state's agricultural sector is also known for large-scale dairy farms, peanut fields, and horse farms with up to hundreds of animals. For many years now, Texas has always been the state with the largest number of farms and ranches in the United States with more than 247,000 farms and ranches.
