Bruce Wyatt, Territory Manager with MacDon, provides an overview of the MacDon - R216 Header. Enhancements were based on client requests. The biggest feature of the R216 Header is the even flow, and the wider operating range of ground speeds. It has a very low profile header, and is designed to cut, condition, and lay a wide variety of grasses and hay crops in windrows. It also has some very good durability features, such as a stainless steel bar on the front of the header, It also features easy access to the drive lines and in-cab adjustable swath control. Quick change blades are also available as an option on the header. It has received an award from the Agriculture Engineers. The R216 rotary disc header is designed to fit on a MacDon M1240 Windrower. The Header is designed to cut, condition, and lay a wide variety of grasses and hay crops in windrows. While MacDon is an international company, it has its roots in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
