Unmanned aerial vehicles, more commonly known as drones, have become a hot topic in 2015. They have multiple applications when it comes to agriculture including scouting, spraying, and some believe even planting. In May, Yamaha’s RMAX drone was approved by the FAA to spray crops. Drones face many FAA regulations including a flying limit of 400 feet above ground, it cannot fly faster than 45 MPH and the pilot must remain in direct line of sight when flying.
