The U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement came into effect on March 15, 2012.

The bilateral agreement removed nearly all tariffs on U.S. farm goods – including corn, soybeans and cherries – entering South Korea.

Levies on U.S. beef entering the country would be reduced from 40 percent to zero within 15 years (2027).

And duties on more than 90 percent of U.S. pork products were reduced in 2016.
