Sprayer System Improves Coverage and Chemical Savings

Ag Leader Technology’s RightSpot is a smart sprayer control system that helps farmers improve the quality and precision of chemical application across fields.

RightSpot is built to handle varying conditions while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

One major challenge in spraying is keeping droplet size and chemical coverage consistent.

RightSpot solves this by maintaining target boom pressure, even when a tractor speeds up or slows down.

Logan Handsaker, product sales specialist with Ag Leader, met with Farms.com to discuss the features and benefits of this technology.

He explained that whether operating at 13.5 mph or slowing for tough-to-spray areas, the system ensures pressure is steady, so coverage remains effective.

RightSpot is especially useful in variable field conditions, helping reduce over or under application.

It makes sure that every area of the field receives the correct amount of spray, regardless of changing speeds or terrain.

A standout feature of RightSpot is its nozzle-by-nozzle auto shutoff.

Each nozzle can turn off individually when passing over areas that have already been treated. This smart function prevents overlapping, saving chemicals and reducing waste, which is crucial for lowering input costs.

Handsaker explained that RightSpot allows growers to get the best performance from their sprayers, maximizing effectiveness each time they head to the field.

With increasing input costs and tight operating windows, systems like RightSpot help farmers get more done with less.

Right Spot is also customizable, allowing growers to set preferred pressure levels like 25 or 40 PSI. It ensures consistency, improves plant protection, and enhances productivity.

Handsaker explains more in the video below.
