Farmers asked to report on plant growth from the field

By Amanda Brodhagen, Farms.com

A few weeks have passed since Farms.com sent out a call-to-action to farmers in Canada and the U.S. asking them to report from the field on their planting progress. Since that time, a number of crops have been planted and growers are starting to see the fruits of their labour – with plants sprouting from the soil.

As our readers flock to follow the #fromthefield and #plant13 Twitter hashtags, many have been especially interested in the pictures and reports on crops that are already starting to grow. Those who have the knowledge of what’s happening in the field, we encourage you to continue to report from the field by sharing not only planting progress, but of crop growth, field conditions, pests and diseases and more.

Thank you to all those who have been actively engaged on Twitter – the passion, enthusiasm and love for what you do is clearly evident in your Tweets. To our readers, we thank you following along and for your engaging comments and feedback. Please continue to share your stories, stay engaged as we will strive to report on the stories that matter to you.
