Practical Pathways to Drive Real Results

by Denise Faguy, Farms.com

"Practical Pathways to Drive Real Results” is the theme for the Precision Agriculture Conference 2015.  It will provide farmers with the opportunity to learn the latest from leading experts in precision technology, as well as farmers who are using precision agriculture on their farms.  The conference will provide the opportunity to review precision agriculture related to farm machinery, seed and crop protection.

“Our first Precision Agriculture Conference was a tremendous success,” says Farms.com Executive Vice President Joe Dales.  “We welcomed close to 300 producers.”  More than 90% of conference attendees said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the 2014 Conference.

“Our goal is to make this year’s Precision Agriculture Conference an even bigger success by ensuring we have great presentations for farmers to equip them with the tools they need to successfully navigate through the current volatility in agriculture prices,” affirms Dales.

Practical Pathways to Drive Real Results will include expert sessions on starting to manage farm data to make it work for you, case studies on agronomy research, and experienced precision farmers will share precision agriculture techniques that work.

The Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conference 2015 will showcase a balance between expert speakers --  agronomists, researchers and technology companies, as well as hands-on precision ag farmers who have seen how the precision agriculture data has had a positive impact on their farm, with documented real-farm results.  A number of how-to sessions will also be featured.

Presenters from the following organizations are expected to share their precision agriculture knowledge: AGCO, BASF, Beck’s Hybrids, CaseIH, Dekalb, DuPont Pioneer, Farmobile Technology, OMAFRA, Precision Planting, Farm Credit Canada, Trimble Agriculture, and many more.

The Conference will also include a tradeshow (limited number of booths) and networking event.  The trade show will feature key precision agriculture vendors from Southwestern Ontario, as well as the United States.

The event is sponsored in part by the Agri-food Management Institute (AMI) through Growing Forward 2, a federal-territorial-provincial initiative.  Farms.com would also like to thank the following sponsors: BASF, DuPont Pioneer, Farm Credit Canada, Hensall District Co-operative, Innovative Farmers Association of Ontario, and Trimble.
