Precision Sprayer Tech Cuts Waste and Increases Daily Savings

John Deere’s innovative sprayer upgrade is designed to help farmers cut down on chemical waste and increase operational efficiency.

The precision upgrade features Pressure Recirculation/Product Reclaim systems that improve how spray booms are primed and cleaned.

According to Kyle Barry, manager of precision upgrades marketing at John Deere, this technology allows farmers to prime the boom system without releasing any product onto the ground, avoiding unnecessary waste.

Traditionally, the priming process meant spraying valuable products just to fill the boom lines, which often resulted in lost chemicals and added costs.

Now, with Pressure Recirculation, the product inside the boom remains constantly moving.

This prevents the settling of chemicals, keeping the spray solution uniform and ready for use.

The Product Reclaim feature lets farmers return unused products from the boom back into the tank, conserving every possible drop.

This combination of features offers tangible benefits. Each rinse using this upgraded system can save up to 30 gallons of product, translating to average daily savings of around $600.

Over time, these savings can make a significant difference in operational costs and environmental impact.

The sprayer upgrade is a smart option for those looking to get more from their current John Deere machines.

Barry explains more about these products in the video below.
