Saskatchewan-based Viterra announced Thursday that it will provide $75,000 in aid to support the flood relief efforts in Alberta. Viterra said the contribution will go to the Canadian Red Cross, who is on the ground providing assistance to communities in Southern and parts of Central Alberta.

"Our thoughts go out to our fellow employees, customers and all those impacted by the flooding, and we would like to recognize the Red Cross for the excellent work they are doing to provide assistance,” said Kyle Jeworski, Viterra's President and CEO for North America.

In addition to its donation, Viterra said they’ve created a matching donation program for its employees who would like to contribute to the effort. Viterra is the largest grain and oilseed handler in Canada.
