Ag manufacturer "Bushel Plus" benefits from new funding

A Brandon based ag manufacturer will benefit from the province's Innovation Growth Program.

A total of $96,500 will go to Bushel Plus.

The money will be used to commercialize an after-market device for agricultural combines that quantifies the equipment’s operational efficiency, allowing farmers to make immediate adjustments to decrease harvest losses.

The funding is in addition to a multi-million dollar investment from the Forage Capital Ag & Food Business Solutions Fund.

Marcel Kringe, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bushel Plus says this adds up to more value for farmers and dealers across North America.

The company, based out of Brandon, currently manufactures the Bushel Plus Drop Pan System for measuring yield loss out the back of the combine.

The product line also includes a patented Drop Pan Harvest Loss Management System featuring an air separator, digital field scale and mobile app, grain shaker boxes, the Bushel Plus mini combine, and most recently, concaves through its acquisition of MAD Concaves.
