Annie's Project To Be Offered In Scottsbluff This Fall

Nebraska Extension is excited to offer Annie's Project in Scottsbluff, beginning in September. Annie's Project empowers farm and ranch women to be better business partners through networks and by managing and organizing critical information.

The six-week course is designed especially to help farm and ranch women develop management and decision-making skills. Sessions include brief presentations, hands-on learning projects, and focused discussions.

Annie's Project gives farm and ranch women the opportunity to learn from agricultural professionals and network with other women in similar situations. Meetings will be 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, Sept. 17, Sept. 24, Oct. 1, Oct. 8, and Oct. 15.

Topics include understanding market terminology, interpreting financial statements, and sifting through estate planning tools.

The cost is $75 per person. Participants will receive handouts, an Annie's Project portfolio, and a light dinner. Course size is limited and registrations are due by Aug. 31.

Annie's Project is being funded by a grant from the USDA Risk Management Agency.
