Announcing Katrin Braasch as General Manager of Carlo Genetics

Carlo Genetics is pleased to announce that effective June 1, 2023, Katrin Braasch has taken over the role of General Manager, succeeding Kyla Ripley. Since 2020 Katrin has worked with all departments at Carlo Genetics and proved her dedication to upholding Carlo’s ongoing commitment to quality, service, and
technology.

“I am excited to transition into the role of GM at Carlo Genetics and will continue to work together with our excellent team to serve our customers with the same transparency that Carlo is known for,” said Katrin.Katrin Braasch holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Manitoba and B.Sc. (Hons) in
Biochemistry from the University of Winnipeg. The use of image-based cell analysis during her academic work has direct crossover benefits to understanding and working with the CASA and cell count programming in place at Carlo Genetics.

“I am looking forward to the current and future advancements in the industry and how we are continually striving to improve in all aspects of the company as we continue providing a superior quality product to more farms,” said Katrin.

Originally from a small town outside Berlin, Germany, Katrin first visited Canada as an exchange student. She has lived full time in Manitoba since 2005 and, in addition to working with Carlo Genetics, Katrin runs a small, family cow-calf operation with her husband in Ste. Genevieve. “I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Katrin in her capacity as Assistant General Manager

since 2020, and I can personally attest to her dedication to upholding the quality, service and technology for which Carlo Genetics has become known. Carlo remains in good hands with Katrin now as General Manager,” said Kyla Ripley, Manager, Global Male Reproduction Services, AIM Worldwide.
