Bayer recieves MRL approval in the United States for vayego

Guelph, ON – The Crop Science division of Bayer is pleased to announce that Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for vayego® insecticide have been established in the United States. The published MRLs are harmonized with those in Canada, allowing for seamless export of crops treated with vayego.

With this approval, potato, fruit and vegetable growers are now equipped with an excellent knockdown tool for key insect pests.

A second generation Group 28 diamide, vayego offers excellent control of lepidopteran pests in potatoes, tree fruit and vegetables, with low risk to beneficial insects when used according to the product label.

“With excellent residual control of key insect pests using low use rates, we are excited about providing farmers with vayego. With this news, farmers have freedom to operate and include vayego as part of an integrated pest management program.” says Kate Hyatt, crop & campaign manager – fruits & vegetables at Bayer CropScience Inc.
