Yesterday, the White House announced they would nominate Stephen Censky, the current American Soybean Association CEO, as US Department of Agriculture (USDA) deputy secretary. CropLife America (CLA) commends the administration on its choice and is excited to work with Mr. Censky, once confirmed.

His background growing up on a soybean, corn, and diversified livestock farm near Jackson, Minnesota, speak to the strengths he will bring to the department, and ensure farmers and ranchers on the ground will have a voice at the federal level.”
After earning his bachelor of science degree in agriculture from South Dakota State University and masters in agriculture science from the University of Melbourne, Australia, he became a congressional staffer in Washington D.C. First working as a legislative assistant for Sen. Jim Abdnor, R-S.D, and later serving in both the Reagan and George H. W. Bush administrations at USDA, Censky brings a high level of experience to Secretary Perdue’s staff.
