Extension to participate in beef plebiscite

As mentioned on previous programs, Marketing Council is conducting a plebiscite on behalf of cattle producers on the matter of the Alberta Beef Producers’ service charge model. The question on the ballot asks producers if they would like the service charges to be refundable at the request of the producer, which is the current model or to be non-refundable, where all of the service charges stay with the Commission. Norine Moore, chair of Marketing Council, says the voting period for the plebiscite has now been extended.
