Faba Bean Feed Benchmark July

Feed wheat, barley, and corn prices remained largely unchanged across the Prairies over the past two weeks, although barley prices showed further signs of weakening in Alberta.

Protein prices meanwhile continued to drop on good new crop prospects as well as shorter term concerns over Chinese tariffs coming into effect on soybean meal exports. Both soybean and canola meal prices declined by another $10-20/T as a result. Corn DDGS values dropped by another $15/T on weaker demand.

Feed peas continued to trade in the $260-265/T range in Saskatchewan and $265-270 in Manitoba and Alberta.
