Live Cattle Exports To US Steady

Beef Farmers of Ontario is reporting live cattle exports to the U-S through Ontario ports so far this year running about steady with last year.

The live fed steer and heifer numbers are up about 970 while the cull cow exports are down almost 1,200 from the same period last year.

Fed cattle, cull cow and replacement cattle marketings last week were all higher that the week before.

The cull cow marketings were the highest in almost a year.

Fed cattle and cull cow prices were lower on both the week and the year while replacements were steady to $5 higher in spots.
