New York Farm Bureau Statement on USDA Secretary Perdue's Visit to NY

"New York Farm Bureau would like to thank USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue for taking time today to visit with New York farmers. His tours of King Brothers Dairy in Saratoga County and WestWind Ag in Rensselaer County provided a unique opportunity to hear directly from farmers about the issues facing agriculture. Dozens of Farm Bureau members attended the two events and shared their stories with the Secretary during the listening sessions. In addition, our organization spoke about our members' priorities regarding the 2018 Farm Bill, immigration reform and the need to maintain fair and open trade markets for our farmers. We also appreciate U.S. Representatives Faso, Stefanik, and Tenney for attending the events and their longstanding support for New York agriculture. We look forward to continuing to work with Secretary Perdue and our congressional delegation to improve the business climate for farmers, reduce regulations, and support our rural economies upstate and on Long Island," Said David Fisher, New York Farm Bureau President.
