Sunflower Growers Hoping For Frost

 Sunflower Growers Hoping For Frost

Manitoba's sunflower growers are hoping to start harvest in the next few days, if they haven't begun already.

Ben Friesen, senior market manager with Scoular, says a hard frost would be beneficial.

"A frost is always good for sunflowers after they've reached their full maturity right now, which they all have," he explained. "It'll always help, even if they have [been] desiccated. It would definitely not harm any of the sunflowers at this stage of the game."
