Beans, peas and lentils are getting a high profile this week in Regina.
 
Economic Development Regina is celebrating this week as “The Great Canadian Pulse Off” with focus on pulse crops.
 
Debra Rush is the director of tourism with Economic Development Regina.
 
She says a week-long campaign includes a restaurant competition, social media contests and street teams.
 
The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness of pulse crops, which provide four billion dollars in exports.
 
Saskatchewan is the main producer of pulse crops in Canada.
