USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 445,200 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were down 5 percent from the previous week, but up 21 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (115,000 MT), Mexico (112,300 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,600 MT), the Philippines (98,000 MT), Japan (36,000 MT, including 32,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 25,000 MT), unknown destinations (35,700 MT), and Trinidad (17,800 MT).  Net sales of 48,000 MT for 2015/2016 were for Japan (25,000 MT), Trinidad (13,500 MT), and Honduras (9,500 MT).  Exports of 430,500 MT were down 11 percent from the previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (104,600 MT), Mexico (98,000 MT), the Philippines (88,500 MT), South Korea (27,700 MT), and Brazil (25,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 1,800 MT to Italy were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 41,100 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 418,000 MT for 2014/2015 were down 50 percent from the previous week and 52 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for South Korea (281,000 MT, including 208,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and 60,000 MT switched from Japan), Colombia (136,300 MT, including 24,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (92,000 MT, including 23,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 13,200 MT), Japan (83,000 MT, including 45,900 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 8,200 MT), Morocco (47,300 MT, switched from unknown destinations), and Chile (36,600 MT, switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (343,300 MT).  Net sales of 96,400 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for New Zealand (81,400 MT) and Japan (15,000 MT).  Exports of 1,165,300 MT were down 16 percent from the previous week, but up 31 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were South Korea (344,100 MT), Mexico (279,600 MT), Japan (269,800 MT, including 31,900 MT late reporting), Colombia (117,400 MT), Morocco (47,400 MT), Chile (36,600 MT), and Costa Rica (27,000 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 68,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley: Net sales of 3,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Japan.  Exports of 200 MT were reported to Taiwan.   

Sorghum: Net sales of 218,000 MT for 2014/2015 were up 20 percent from the previous week and 57 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were for China (155,000 MT), unknown destinations (54,000 MT), and Japan (9,000 MT).  Net sales of 215,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (162,000 MT) and China (53,000 MT).  Exports of 59,300 MT--a marketing-year low--were down 81 percent from the previous week and 76 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.  

Rice:  Net sales of 82,500 MT for 2014/2015 were up 19 percent from the previous week, but down 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (22,100 MT), Haiti (20,500 MT), Costa Rica (11,100 MT), Colombia (7,100 MT), and Guatemala (4,600 MT).  Exports of 53,100 MT were up 59 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Colombia (35,600 MT), Saudi Arabia (4,300 MT), Canada (3,600 MT), Mexico (3,500 MT), and Haiti (1,500 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 100 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 167,900 MT for 2014/2015 were down 66 percent from the previous week and 70 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (156,800 MT, including 113,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 76,200 MT), the Netherlands (105,100 MT, including 105,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,500 MT), Bangladesh (54,300 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,500 MT), Mexico (53,000 MT), South Korea (25,400 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Vietnam (9,200 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (263,700 MT).  Net sales of 30,800 MT for 2015/2016 were for Mexico (28,000 MT) and Japan (2,800 MT).  Exports of 648,700 MT were down 16 percent from the previous week and 46 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (235,700 MT), the Netherlands (118,000 MT), Bangladesh (106,300 MT), Mexico (42,000 MT), Taiwan (29,500 MT), South Korea (28,700 MT), and Japan (25,700 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, options were exercised to export 55,000 MT to other than the United States.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 656,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 101,300 MT for 2014/2015 were down 22 percent from the previous week and 36 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Ecuador (29,500 MT, including 27,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (16,500 MT), Venezuela (14,000 MT), Canada (11,900 MT), Colombia (6,900 MT, including 1,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 6,600 MT), and Trinidad (6,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for Algeria (5,500 MT) and the Dominican Republic (4,400 MT).  Net sales of 500 MT for 2015/2016 resulted as increases for Mexico (1,400 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Panama (900 MT).  Exports of 280,100 MT were up 8 percent from the previous week, but down 2 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Thailand (61,800 MT), the Philippines (50,600 MT), Colombia (32,300 MT), Ecuador (29,500 MT), Ireland (26,900 MT), Mexico (25,300 MT), and Venezuela (20,000 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 4,600 MT for 2014/2015 were down 18 percent from the previous week and 61 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (2,800 MT), Peru (1,000 MT), and Canada (700 MT).  Exports of 20,000 MT were down 17 percent from the previous week, but up 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Peru (14,500 MT), Mexico (2,800 MT), Nicaragua (1,300 MT), Canada (700 MT), and Colombia (500 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 36,800 RB for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (20,300 RB, including 1,300 RB switched from Vietnam and decreases of 10,600 RB), Taiwan (12,000 RB, including 1,000 RB switched from Vietnam), Thailand (7,700 RB, including 400 RB switched from Japan), Vietnam (7,400 RB), Bangladesh (5,200 RB), Japan (5,000 RB), and Malaysia (2,200 RB).  Decreases were reported for Turkey (24,500 RB), Mexico (1,600 RB), South Korea (1,300 RB), and Indonesia (800 RB).  Net sales of 92,800 RB for 2015/2016 reported for South Korea (34,300 RB), Thailand (29,100 RB), Mexico (25,700 RB), and Vietnam (8,200 RB), were partially offset by decreases for Turkey (4,400 RB).  Exports of 307,800 RB were down 15 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (67,900 RB), Vietnam (51,100 RB), Turkey (46,200 RB), Indonesia (34,800 RB), and South Korea (22,700 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 14,700 RB for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and 66 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (7,700 RB), Taiwan (2,000 RB), Thailand (1,900 RB), and Hong Kong (1,400 RB).  Exports of 12,400 RB were up noticeably from the previous week and 89 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Pakistan (6,300 RB), China (4,900 RB), and Peru (400 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 1,800 RB were reported to Turkey.  The current exports for own account balance is 48,900 RB, and is for China (47,100 RB) and Turkey (1,800 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 439,300 pieces for 2015, all whole cattle hides, were up 8 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were primarily for China (287,600 pieces), South Korea (124,700 pieces), Mexico (13,700 pieces), Canada (3,600 pieces), and Vietnam (2,900 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Japan (300 pieces).  Exports of 388,500 pieces were up 68 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 385,800 pieces were primarily to China (239,900 pieces), South Korea (94,900 pieces), Taiwan (26,700 pieces), and Mexico (11,100 pieces).

Net sales of 316,400 wet blues for 2015 were reported for South Korea (89,600 unsplit), Italy (68,500 unsplit and 19,400 grain splits), China (33,700 unsplit and 17,400 grain splits), and Mexico (48,400 grain splits).  Exports of 130,300 wet blues were primarily to China (28,800 unsplit and 18,700 grain splits), Italy (19,600 unsplit and 3,600 grain splits), Mexico (20,400 grain splits), and Vietnam (15,200 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 1,578,300 pounds for 2015 were reported for South Korea (1,472,100 pounds), Hong Kong (100,000 pounds), and Vietnam (29,500 pounds).  Decreases were reported for China (23,200 pounds).   Exports of 261,900 pounds were reported to China (255,900 pounds) and South Korea (6,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 17,300 MT for 2015--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and 47 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Hong Kong (7,100 MT), Japan (3,900 MT), South Korea (2,400 MT), Taiwan (1,100 MT), and Mexico (900 MT).  Exports of 12,600 MT--a marketing-year high--were up 7 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,900 MT), Hong Kong (3,100 MT), South Korea (1,700 MT), Mexico (1,500 MT), and Taiwan (800 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 18,700 MT for 2015 were down 39 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (5,800 MT), Japan (3,400 MT), South Korea (3,000 MT), Canada (1,500 MT), and Colombia (1,300 MT).  Exports of 20,600 MT--a marketing-year high--were up 15 percent from the previous week and 19 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (7,800 MT), Japan (4,100 MT), South Korea (3,100 MT), Canada (1,400 MT), and China (800 MT).
