USDA Export Sales Report Release

Wheat:   Net sales of 372,600 MT for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were primarily for Brazil (123,100 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (85,200 MT), Indonesia (71,000 MT, including 70,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Philippines (37,800 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Venezuela (33,000 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from Panama), and Japan (32,900 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (59,400 MT), Panama (29,700 MT), and Nigeria (5,600 MT).  Net sales of 8,200 MT for delivery in the 2015/2016 marketing year were for Mexico.  Exports of 523,800 MT were primarily to Brazil (126,100 MT), the Philippines (86,600 MT), Mexico (81,400 MT), China (63,000 MT), Nigeria (41,400 MT), South Korea (34,000 MT), and Venezuela (33,000 MT). 

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 19,000 MT, all Algeria.

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account to Italy totaling 4,500 MT were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 31,500 MT, all Italy.   

Corn:  Net sales of 109,000 MT for 2013/2014 were down 73 percent from the previous week and 79 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (168,300 MT, including 91,100 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 9,200 MT), Saudi Arabia (76,600 MT, including 70,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Taiwan (64,200 MT), South Korea (59,600 MT, including 57,800 MT switched from Japan and decreases of 800 MT), and Peru (47,200 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (396,900 MT), Colombia (44,200 MT), and Costa Rica (1,100 MT).  Net sales of 78,900 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Mexico (40,800 MT), unknown destinations (37,500 MT) and South Korea (600 MT).  Exports of 1,123,000 MT were up 5 percent from the previous week, but down 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (357,900 MT), Mexico (258,700 MT), Taiwan (100,600 MT), South Korea (85,400 MT), Saudi Arabia (80,100 MT), Egypt (71,300 MT), and Colombia (67,500 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 123,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley:  Net sales of 2,900 MT for 2014/1015 were reported for Japan (1,500 MT), South Korea (900 MT), and Taiwan (500 MT).  Exports of 600 MT were reported to South Korea (400 MT) and Japan (100 MT).

Export Adjustments:  Accumulated exports to Japan were decreased 600 MT for week ending June 5, 2014.  This shipment was reported twice.

Sorghum: Net sales of 62,200 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for China.  Net sales of 60,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for China.  Exports of 1,000 MT--a marketing-year low--were reported to China.

Rice: Net sales of 85,900 MT for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Turkey (33,500 MT), Iraq (30,000 MT), Mexico (18,500 MT), Guatemala (5,300 MT), and Jordan (2,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for Ghana (11,000 MT).  Exports of 40,900 MT were down 55 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (21,500 MT), Haiti (9,500 MT), Canada (2,900 MT), Honduras (1,500 MT), and Saudi Arabia (1,300 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 97,900 MT for 2013/2014 were up 13 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Japan (41,300 MT, including 29,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (38,000 MT), Indonesia (16,900 MT), Taiwan (6,400 MT) and Vietnam (3,100 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Colombia (11,100 MT) and unknown destinations (1,000 MT).  Net sales of 285,800 MT for 2014/2015 were for unknown destinations (185,000 MT), China (90,500 MT), Mexico (10,000 MT), and South Korea (1,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for Japan (1,200 MT).  Exports of 192,200 MT were up 31 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (89,200 MT), Japan (48,000 MT), Taiwan (29,600 MT), Indonesia (13,200 MT), and Cuba (5,500 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 110,500 MT, all China.  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 716,000 MT, and are for China (551,000 MT), Egypt (120,000 MT), and Mexico (45,000 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 54,700 MT for 2013/2014 were down 8 percent from the previous week and 45 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Venezuela (63,000 MT, including 22,500 MT switched from Panama, 15,000 MT switched unknown destinations, and decreases of 5,200 MT), Mexico (15,800 MT), Canada (12,600 MT), Honduras (9,900 MT, including 9,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Dominican Republic (2,700 MT), and New Guinea (1,500 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (25,600 MT), Panama (21,100 MT), and Ecuador (4,500 MT).  Net sales of 127,800 MT for 2014/2015 were primarily for unknown destinations (77,400 MT), Indonesia (31,000 MT), and El Salvador (17,000 MT).  Exports of 151,100 MT were down 9 percent from the previous week, but up 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (49,600 MT), Mexico (35,100 MT), Canada (21,100 MT), the Philippines (20,900 MT), Honduras (9,900 MT), and the Dominican Republic (5,300 MT).  

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 10,300 MT for 2013/2014 were down 86 percent from the previous week and 69 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Dominican Republic (5,200 MT), Mexico (3,400 MT), Canada (1,100 MT), Nicaragua (300 MT), and Belgium (200 MT).  Exports of 7,000 MT were up 57 percent from the previous week and 40 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Dominican Republic (4,000 MT), Mexico (2,100 MT), Canada (400 MT), and Nicaragua (300 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales 153,100 RB for 2013/2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and 4 percent the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Indonesia (62,900 RB, including 200 RB switched from Japan), Vietnam (50,200 RB, including 200 RB switched from Japan), China (14,000 RB, including 1,100 RB switched from Indonesia and decreases of 1,000 RB), South Korea (9,900 RB), Taiwan (5,400 RB), and Turkey (4,600 RB).  Decreases were reported for Mexico (2,300 RB) and Japan (300 RB).  Net sales of 103,300 RB for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for Indonesia (28,800 RB), Mexico (16,600 RB), and Vietnam (15,900 RB).  Exports of 119,800 RB were down 35 percent from the previous week and 37 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (30,100 RB), Turkey (25,500 RB), Mexico (22,400 RB), Indonesia (8,000 RB), and Thailand (6,500 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 2,100 RB for 2013/2014 were up 23 percent from the previous week, but down 22 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Peru (2,000 RB) and Thailand (100 RB, switched from Japan).  Net sales of 200 RB for 2014/2015 were reported for Thailand.  Exports of 12,200 RB were primarily to China (7,500 RB), India (2,200 RB), Germany (1,300 RB), and Pakistan (400 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account to China totaling 800 RB were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 60,900 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 305,800 pieces reported for 2014 were down 33 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hides sales of 305,700 pieces were primarily for China (164,200 pieces), South Korea (99,200 pieces), Mexico (18,500 pieces), Taiwan (15,700 pieces), and Thailand (7,900 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (3,400 pieces).  Exports of 388,700 pieces were down 25 percent from the previous week and 6 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hides exports totaled 383,100 pieces, with the primary destinations being China (247,900 pieces), South Korea (71,100 pieces), Mexico (26,300 pieces), Taiwan (22,600 pieces), and Thailand (10,500 pieces).

Net sales of 118,900 wet blues for 2014 were reported for the Dominican Republic (24,000 unsplit and 2,200 grain splits), Vietnam (26,100 unsplit), China (22,700 unsplit), Mexico (12,500 grain splits and 100 unsplit), and Taiwan (11,700 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for Japan (300 unsplit) and Vietnam (500 grain splits).  Exports of 118,500 wet blues were primarily to Italy (28,500 unsplit and 7,600 grain splits), China (15,200 unsplit and 2,000 grain splits), Vietnam (12,900 unsplit and 3,400 grain splits), and Mexico (7,000 grain splits and 4,600 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 109,400 pounds for 2014 were reported for South Korea.  Exports of 312,000 pounds were reported to South Korea.

Beef:  Net sales of 16,100 MT for 2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Hong Kong (4,500 MT), Japan (3,100 MT), Mexico (2,200 MT), South Korea (2,100 MT), and Canada (1,600 MT).  Exports of 14,400 MT were unchanged from the previous week and up 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (4,000 MT), Hong Kong (2,600 MT), South Korea (2,300 MT), Canada (2,000 MT), and Mexico (2,000 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 6,500 MT for 2014 were down 24 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (2,400 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), Japan (900 MT), South Korea (600 MT), and Hong Kong (300 MT).  Decreases were reported for New Zealand (200 MT).  Exports of 9,800 MT were down 6 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (4,100 MT), Japan (1,600 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), South Korea (600 MT), and Hong Kong (600 MT).
