USSEC Appreciates United States–Bangladesh Reciprocal Trade Agreement

The U.S. Soybean Council (USSEC) expresses its deepest gratitude to the United States Trade Representative (USTR) for the newly signed reciprocal trade deal between the United States and Bangladesh. This move aims to increase market access for U.S. Soy in South Asia’s largest market for U.S. soybeans.

The agreement builds on the letters of intent signed in November last year by Bangladesh’s top soy value chain leaders to purchase $1.25 billion of U.S. Soy over the course of one year.

Bangladesh is a key market for U.S. Soy, with 1.13 million metric tons (MMT) of U.S. soybeans reported thus far in marketing year (MY) 2025/26.1

Preferred for its low damage and dryness, color and consistency, U.S. Soy remains a top choice for Bangladesh’s soybean processors and animal protein producers.
