Weathering Change: Cover Cropping for New Farmers

Are you curious about cover crops? In this workshop we will see how Meadowstone Farm incorporates cover crops into their high tunnels and fields -from planning to planting. We will highlight how cover crops can be used as a method to manage soil fertility and lessen the impacts of extreme weather on the farm, like drought and flooding. We will also hear from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) about financial incentive programs you can utilize to start incorporating cover crops on your farm.

This workshop is geared towards beginning farmers but is open to anyone who is interested. This event is free to attend, but registration is appreciated.

Pesticide Applicator Credits pending.

If you need an accommodation to participate in our programming, please contact please contact Caroline Beatoncaroline.beaton@unh.edu, prior to the event. Given ample time, we will make any reasonable effort to meet your needs, including language access services if requested, which will be provided free of charge.
